What you can enter. Search may use a ZIP code, a city, or a city and state. If a city name exists in more than one state, the directory asks which state — it does not silently assume one.
What results mean. Results prefer firms with a footprint in the resolved place. Firms elsewhere in the same state may appear with honest labeling. National carriers, when shown, are labeled as carriers — not as local neighborhood agencies.
Coverage and place together. You can combine a coverage word with a place. If only a coverage word is entered, the directory asks for a place before showing results.
Empty stays empty. When no firms are listed for that place and coverage, InsuranceFinder shows an empty result. It does not invent nearby agencies.
Stable pages. Some place and coverage combinations have stable page addresses. Prefer those pages when they exist; they are part of the directory map, not a promise of local inventory.
